Aitana Rousseau

BIOGRAPHY:

Born in 2000, she earned a degree in Flamenco Dance from the “Kina Jiménez” Professional Dance Conservatory in Almería and was part of the graduating class of the Andalusian Dance Center.

Her career as a performer includes stints with the Andalusian Flamenco Ballet, under the direction of Úrsula López, and the Spanish National Ballet, directed by Rubén Olmo.

In 2022, she received the Outstanding Dancer Award at the Madrid Choreography Competition, and since then, she has pursued her professional career with David Coria’s company, Úrsula López’s company, and Jesús Carmona’s company, with whom she continues to collaborate today.

Her profile as a performer is complemented by her role as a creator. She has participated as a choreographer in the 25th National Dance Competition—City of Castellón Awards—and as a guest artist in the Gala de Estrellas celebrating Indanza’s 25th anniversary.

She currently balances her work with these companies with the development of “Anatomía del Límite,” her first solo project, a work through which she explores new languages and possibilities within contemporary flamenco dance.
