About Us

Our Venue

Under the direction of active bailaores Lisi Sfair and Pedro Córdoba, the Centro Cultural Flamenco de Madrid picks up the baton of the old tablaos that turned Chueca into a flamenco district, such as Manolo Caracol’s Los Canasteros. With a fresh air but without losing sight of the rich tablao tradition, our stage hosts the best of the current flamenco scene, offering a space that seeks and cares for artistic quality.

Our aim is clear: to support and disseminate flamenco at its best. For this reason, we are committed to an intimate space, with only 50 seats and no food or drink service, where nothing can interrupt the rhythm. This proximity creates an enveloping atmosphere that allows both the audience and the artists to live an immersive experience only a few feet away from its protagonists.

But our vocation and commitment to flamenco go beyond this performance space: we have a programme of grants and awards that provides real and effective support to artists who need a stage where they can express themselves. We also embrace other artistic and craft disciplines that contribute to keeping this legacy alive, integrating them into the gallery at our venue. This outreach work is complemented by the publication of our own magazine, conceived as a platform for the conservation and dissemination of flamenco, rescuing testimonies and giving voice to the living history that beats in each quejío.
