BIOGRAPHY:

He began studying dance at the age of three, and at 15 he enrolled at the RCPD Mariemma, where he graduated with the Graduation Award and the National Academic Excellence Award. Since then, he has been a member of dance companies such as EnClaveEspañol, Carlos Vilán, Nuevo Ballet Español, the Shoji Kojima Company, the Spanish National Ballet (directed by Antonio Najarro), and the Manuel Linán Company.

Additionally, in 2021 he premiered his first large-scale production alongside Victor Martín and five musicians: BOREAL; which has been performed at the Teatros del Canal and Sadler’s Wells Theatre as part of the London Flamenco Festival, selling out in both cities.

Despite his youth, he has received numerous accolades, including the Best Performer Award from the Davalos-Fletcher Foundation, the Outstanding Dancer Award at the Community of Madrid’s Spanish Dance and Flamenco Choreography Competition, and was nominated for the 2023 Max Awards as Best Male Performer for Antonio Najarro’s production Querencia.

Currently, in addition to performing as a solo dancer with Antonio Najarro’s company and Manuel Linán’s company in the show ¡VIVA!, he performs at some of Madrid’s most renowned tablaos, such as Las Carboneras, Las Tablas, La Carmela, and La Cueva de Lola, where he performs in addition to flamenco numbers, pieces from the Escuela Bolera, and stylized flamenco.

In addition, he has served as a guest choreographer for the DIOR brand, a guest artist at the Cumbre Flamenca Festival in Los Angeles under the direction of Beth Nesbitt, and choreography director for the artist Alexis.

In September 2022, Daniel Ramos premiered his first solo show, co-produced by Teatros del Canal: conTRAcuerpo, which has been performed at the Almería Dance and Flamenco Festival, the Madrid Dance Festival of the Community of Madrid, the Cadences Festival in Arcachon, and the highly acclaimed Jerez Festival in 2023.

Currently, he balances his life as a soloist and principal dancer for other choreographers with the direction of his own company. In May 2024, he premiered his second show in China: IDENTIDAD, and will soon present his new project alongside award-winning violinist Víctor Guadiana: ECO.
