BIOGRAPHY:
Born in La Boca, Buenos Aires, Alejandro Pais Iriart started out playing blues and rock, eventually fiding his passion for flamenco, tango, and bossa nova when he moved to the United States. Awarded a scholarship during secondary school, he began studying flamenco guitar at the age of 15, completing his training with maestros such as Antón Jiménez, Jesús de Rosario, Alfredo Lagos, El Entri, or Ramón Amador.
He founded the project La Juerga Flamenco Ensemble, with which he toured the US alongside artists such as Alfonso Losa, Vanesa Coloma, and Antonio Sánchez. He also led Jazz’tamos, a jazz-flamenco fusion project.
In 2016 he settled in Madrid, where he has deepened his studies with El Viejín and established himself as a regular guitarist at renowned tablaos in the capital, collaborating on stage with figures such as Ángel Gabarre, Juañares, or Nino de los Reyes.
He now splits his time between Madrid and the US, balancing personal projects with collaborative work.
