Lisi Sfair

Born in Brazil in 1991, her passion for dance, especially flamenco, had been evident since childhood. Her first contact with these arts occurred at the Tablao Andaluz School in Brazil, and some years later she moved to Rio de Janeiro, where she studied at Studio Gesto, combining her training with master classes under renowned artists such as Carmen La Talegona, Domingo Ortega or Pol Vaquero, and featuring in festivals such as Flamenco in Brazil. In 2009, she moved to Madrid to go on with her training at the Conservatorio Profesional de Danza ‘Comandante Fortea’, where in 2015 she obtained her official qualification in Spanish Dance, excelling in flamenco with honours. She complemented her studies at the prestigious Amor de Dios School with great flamenco figures such as Alfonso Losa, Marco Flores, Jesús Carmona or Javier Latorre, among others.

She is a recurring artist in the most important tablaos in Madrid, such as Las Carboneras, Cardamomo or Casa Patas. She has been a finalist in the Concurso Internacional de Baile Flamenco Puro (Pure Flamenco International Contest), as part of the Festival Flamenco de Jerez De La Frontera, and has received multiple awards, such as third prize in the Concurso Internacional de Danza de Almería (2019). In addition to her tours with different companies and solo, she has performed in renowned festivals, such as Veranos de la Villa or Suma Flamenca. She is currently co-owner and managing director of the Centro Cultural Flamenco Madrid and serves as teacher for the Official Master’s Degree in Flamenco, taught at the prestigious Centro Superior Música Creativa.
