“Hey, have you heard about that flamenco tablao in Chueca? They say it’s got that vibe.” Once upon a time, everything was passed on by word of mouth among neighbours, friends and acquaintances. But society is changing at a dizzying pace, thanks largely to the unstoppable advances of technology. Social networks are the public squares of the 21st century and Internet reviews are the digital version of word of mouth. We couldn’t be more grateful for the opinions about us that you leave on the Internet. Thank you and thank you a thousand times over!
Opinions and criticisms, whether good or bad –always without malice or animosity– definitely help us to grow and improve. Listening to the people who visit us is an obligation and almost an obsession for us, because they are the heart of everything we do and we want to ensure that the shows and services we offer are up to their standards.
At the Centro Cultural Flamenco de Madrid, we are proud to have a multicultural audience, coming from different countries and mostly very demanding. We are flattered that so many people choose our space to experience a live flamenco show for the first time in their lives.
Let’s take a look at some of the reviews our customers have left about us on Google between November and December 2021. We have nearly two hundred reviews with an average score of 4.7 (out of five). These reviews come from all over the world and have pulled at our heartstrings on more than one occasion:
“A magnificent and welcoming space that oozes art, from the professionalism of the artists to the exquisite attention of the staff at every moment, not to mention the beautiful shop and the flamenco art gallery. A delight to the senses.” (Mari Ángeles Gijón Iañez, 5 stars)
“Everything is magical, from the moment you walk through that door. What you see, what you hear and, above all, what you feel. A place with magic. Highly recommended.” (Ana Matallanes)
“I was blown away. The show is so intimate, exciting, passionate and the performers poured their souls into their work.” (Ondria Rees, 5 stars)
“I enjoyed a lot of good flamenco in this comfortable and elegant space. Great artists and great attention from the staff. Their gallery has very tastefully chosen pieces and is a good preamble to get ready to enjoy the show.” (Ambrosio Arias Puertas, 5 stars)
(Ludmilla pain) Ludmilla tells us that she happened to pass by the door of our venue and, as a flamenco lover, she came in. She was warmly welcomed and decided to get tickets to the evening show on the advice of our reception staff. “Lucky us! A magnificent show with an exceptional guitarist, singer and two dancers… The show exuded enormous power and emotion!”, she explains. The teasing stage of the Centro Cultural Flamenco de Madrid: intimate and traditional flamenco only a few feet away.
Other customers see us as a new venue despite being born in 2019 and the reason is that we take great care with all our furniture, and we are constantly updating our decor to make the environment as pleasant as possible for visitors:
“A new, pleasant and spotless centre. The shop is beautiful, the seats are very comfortable, and the flamenco is of the best quality. The best thing is undoubtedly the professionals you meet there: bailaores, bailaoras, cantaores, cantaoras, guitarists, receptionists and a long list of others. An unbeatable experience in Spanish and English.” (Elena Pérez-Hita, 5 stars)
We are especially flattered that the so-called Google Local Guides come to our cultural space to give their opinion about us. This is the case of José daModia with his review:
“Very friendly, from the receptionist to the tablao manager… and an impeccable performance by the two bailaores, the guitarist maestro and the cantaora, who is very young but has a voice with the depth and seniority of a good wine.” (José daModia, Local Guide, 5 stars).
And now two more of those soul-touching opinions. All our work feels rewarded by reading words like these:
“Great flamenco place in Madrid. If you want to know a place where magic and art join together, you must visit the Centro Cultural Flamenco de Madrid!” (David Roldán Gavira)
“Esperienza magnífica! Tutto dal vivo e autentico. Una full inmersión di ballo, chitarra e canto flamenco, non pensavo potesse essere cosí coinvolgente. Raccomandabile 100%.” (Alexandra del Bene, 5 estrellas). Alexandra visited us from Italy and told us about her magnificent experience in which everything felt as alive as it felt authentic. “A total immersion in flamenco dance, guitar and singing,” which she didn’t think could be so attractive. She ended by recommending the show one hundred percent.
We finish with this review by Begoña Guitian, who made us blush in modesty:
“What a special place, and so much art! The show got under my skin, especially when the bailaoras moved their jewel-like shawls around. Everyone is kind and charming. It was a great experience. I love this place! Thank you very much.” (Begoña Guitian, 5 stars)
We sincerely thank you all those who visit us and spend a little of your time to tell us about your experience. In difficult times, comments like these are the fuel we need to keep fighting to embrace flamenco in Madrid. An art listed as Intangible Cultural Heritage and that we must never let die. Our activity returns in February, and you can already get your tickets for flamenco shows in Madrid.
In our flamenco tablao you can enjoy authentic flamenco in a charming stage with intimate performances. One of the best flamenco tablaos in Madrid. Guitar, dancing and singing. No loudspeakers. Just a few feet away from the spectacle.
